Picked out my seeds that I plan to start indoors this year: lunchbox pepper, bell peppers, strawberry, marigold, and carrots Also picked out seeds that I will direct sow: these include kale, spinach, pea, zucchini. Will make a visit to garden works this Saturday after Blake’s soccer practice.
Set out my seed starting tray, which is just plastic egg trays, I find that if I use cardboard – which in theory is more environmentally friendly and less waste, but it gets mouldy and soggy fast when I try to start seedlings indoors with wet and moist environment.
I am still undecided if I should grow pumpkin this year. I’ve never grown a pumpkin because the runners will be a headache to keep pruning, and might very well suffocate my other plants if left unattended. I will definitely work on the soil and get new soil into my garden bed. The neighbouring cats have been making themselves very comfortable in my backyard when we were away for 6 months last year. I saw one napping right on my garden bed very comfortably last summer.
I have a lot of knowledge I want to share. With anyone. From little baby food cutting scissors to muslin blankets to wyze cam. I want to share with people, but I lack the medium to do it with. I can do it over the internet but I am not good writer. I lack the ability to articulate my ideas and my opinions.
I also want to prove that I am interesting. I can write. I have stories to tell.
