As the clock resets and we step into a brand-new year, I’ve been thinking about the power of writing down goals. I firmly believe that when you take the time to put your aspirations into words, you hold yourself accountable and set the wheels in motion to achieve them. So, as I welcome 2025, I’ve decided to share my goals—not only as a personal commitment but also in hopes of inspiring you to chase your own dreams.
This year, I’m focusing on growth, balance, and positivity. These aren’t just abstract ideas; they’re concrete goals that reflect the kind of life I want to lead. Here’s what I’ll be working toward in 2025:
1. Eating Healthier
Food is fuel, and I’m committed to fueling my body with healthier choices this year. Eating well isn’t just about looking good—it’s about feeling good, having energy, and taking care of myself.
I plan to focus on balance rather than restriction, incorporating more whole foods, cooking at home, and experimenting with recipes that are both nutritious and delicious. For me, it’s about making small, sustainable changes that add up over time.
2. Building Muscle Through Exercise
Physical health is another priority for me this year. I’ve set a goal to pick up regular exercise and focus on building muscle mass. Strength training is something I’ve always admired but haven’t fully committed to before.
This year, I’m determined to change that. I’ll start small, building a consistent routine that I can stick to, and gradually increase intensity as I go. Not only will this improve my physical strength, but I know it will also have a positive impact on my mental health.
3. Creating Lasting Family Memories
Family is everything to me, and one of my personal goals this year is to create lasting memories for my children. I recently read that children tend to remember the most about family vacations between the ages of 5 and 10. This insight resonates deeply with me because I have vivid memories of trips from my own childhood. Whether it’s a luxury getaway or a simple day trip to the beach, these experiences can leave a lasting impression.
Within my capabilities, I want to create these kinds of moments for my children—moments they’ll cherish for years to come. It’s not about how much money is spent but the quality of time we share together.
4. Finding Balance Between Career and Home Life
As someone who wears many hats, balancing career and home life is a constant challenge. This year, I’m making it a priority to set boundaries, delegate where I can, and carve out quality time for both work and family.
It’s not about achieving perfect balance—that doesn’t exist. It’s about finding what works for me and being intentional with my time and energy.
5. Spreading Positivity
I’ve always believed that the energy you put out into the world comes back to you. This year, I want to focus on being a more positive presence in my friendships.
This doesn’t mean ignoring challenges or pretending everything is perfect. It means approaching conversations with kindness, encouragement, and optimism. I believe that when we uplift each other, we attract more good things into our lives.
6. Learning More Skills
I’ve always been drawn to the idea of lifelong learning. Whether it’s picking up a new hobby or diving into professional development, acquiring new skills keeps life exciting and helps us grow. This year, I want to challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone and explore areas I’ve always been curious about.
One theme I’m particularly inspired by is the idea of creativity as a practice. Imagine treating your creative pursuits the same way you approach health and wellness—prioritizing them, nurturing them, and showing up consistently. Creativity is like a muscle; the more you exercise it, the stronger it gets. Platforms like Skillshare make it easier than ever to flex those creative muscles. From painting to photography, writing to design, I plan to dive into creative disciplines that excite me.
I’m reminding myself that it’s not about perfection; it’s about practice. This year, I’m giving myself permission to try, fail, and grow.
7. Growing My YouTube Channel to 100,000 Subscribers
One of my biggest professional goals for 2025 is to grow my YouTube channel to 100,000 subscribers. This isn’t just about hitting a number—it’s about creating content that resonates, connects, and adds value to people’s lives.
To achieve this, I’ll focus on consistency, engaging with my audience, and constantly improving the quality of my content. I know it’s going to take hard work, but I’m excited about the challenge.
Writing down these goals is my way of holding myself accountable and giving these aspirations the attention they deserve. I know the year won’t be without its challenges, but I’m ready to embrace the process.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that growth doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a journey of small, consistent steps. By focusing on learning, health, creativity, family, and positivity, I’m laying the foundation for a year that’s not just productive but meaningful.
Now it’s your turn—what are your goals for 2025? Whether it’s something big and bold or a small step toward bettering yourself, I’d love to hear about it. Let’s inspire each other to grow, thrive, and make this our best year yet.
